Archer – A trailer for season 12, which debuts on August 25th and features Jessica Walter’s character Mallory one final time as FX have confirmed that she recorded all of her dialogue before she sadly passed away, is now online. Chicago Party Aunt – A new Netflix animated comedy will debut on September 17th. “Netflix has ordered 16 episodes of the half-hour series, with the first eight slated to drop on Sept. 17. Lauren Ash will lead the voice cast in the role of Diane Dunbrowski, AKA The Chicago Party Aunt, as she stays true to her mantra “If life gives you lemons, turn that shit into Mike’s Hard Lemonade.” Additional voice cast members include Rory O’Malley, RuPaul Charles, Jill Talley, Ike Barinholtz, Jon Barinholtz, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Katie Rich, and Witaske.”. Flaps – This Comedy Central series is returning for a second series next week. “The stand-up, who also performs as part of The Delightful Sausage double act, will appear in the eight-part, short-form series, airing on Comedy Central UK’s YouTube and Facebook pages from 5th August, alongside Andrea Valls, Nimisha Odedra, Lola Jagun, Jade Johnson and Leah Byrne. Ladhood – Season 2 has been completed. “Picking up where the first series left off, the new series follows young Liam (Oscar Kennedy) and his best mates Ralph (Samuel Bottomley), Addy (Aqib Khan) and Craggy (Shaun Thomas) as they experience GCSE results, driving tests, break ups and their first big night out in town, making their way through all the highs and lows of teenage life in the Leeds suburb of Garforth in the early noughties”. Late Night Mash – The Mash Report is to return to Dave in the form of eight, one hour episodes. “Nish Kumar will return as host, with Rachel Parris and newsreaders Ellie Taylor and Steve N Allen also confirmed as amongst the stars transferring to the new version. The Learners – Is a new radio sitcom from Kiri Pritchard-McLean “based on her experiences of attending Welsh lessons – was commissioned for a four-part series on the back of a successful pilot. It co-stars Les Dennis and comics including Mick Ferry Janice Connolly – known as Barbara Nice on the comedy circuit – and, Tudur Owen, who plays teacher Jonesy. Kath Hughes and Ed Easton from sketch group Gein’s Family Gift Shop, which Pritchard-McLean co-writes, are also in the cast. Mandy – Filming is underway on the second series of Diane Morgan’s comedy. “The BBC say: “Mandy once again has big dreams with small success as she attempts to find fulfilment in a series of short-lived jobs in the modern gig economy. Along the way she becomes a tour guide, goes on a reality show and gets thrown in at the deep end, both actually and metaphorically, when she attempts to learn to swim. Man & Witch – This new film is attracting a pretty great cast. “Eddie Izzard, Jennifer Saunders and Bill Bailey have joined comic fantasy film Man & Witch. Reginald D Hunter is also making his feature film acting debut in the Scotland-shot family movie, appearing alongside Back To The Future star Christopher Lloyd and puppets from The Jim Henson Creature Shop. Saunders, Izzard, and Bailey voice the characters of a goose, sheep, and donkey, respectively, in the family film about a lonely goatherd looking for love. Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman – A remake of the popular 70’s sitcom is in the works. “As reported in February, “Schitt’s Creek” star Emily Hampshire is developing a fresh version of “Mary Hartman,” along with Jacob Tierney (“Letterkenny”). After being shopped by Sony Pictures TV to buyers this spring, the project has landed at TBS. The news comes as Lear, who was born in 1922, celebrates his 99th birthday. “The kick of kicks as I turn 99 today is learning that TBS is developing ‘MHMH’ and will allow us to make a new version of it starring Emily Hampshire,” Lear said in a statement. “As someone who believes his 99 years on this planet is owed to the amount of laughter he enjoyed through the years, here’s to the next 99. Pubwatch – Rob Rouse is making a sitcom about “a committee combatting yobbish behaviour in pubs, British Comedy Guide can exclusively reveal. The stand-up, who plays Bottom in the Shakespearean sitcom Upstart Crow on BBC Two, has shot a taster of Pubwatch with fellow comics Mick Ferry, Stephen Bailey, Hannah Platt and Pete Selwood, who also wrote the script. The pilot’s director is stand-up Joe Bor, a former stand up whose screen credits include last year’s Robert White documentary, The Autistic Comedian”.

The Show – American comedian Ellyn Daniels has created a dark comedy about her experiences of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe. “Filmed in the UK and US and completed over summer, The Show stars Daniels, who also writes and directs, as sitcom actor Hayley Harris creating a one-woman stage show following the death of her mother in North Carolina. Drawing from Daniels’ experience of performing Emotional Terrorism, her soul-baring, one-woman show at the 2017 festival in Edinburgh, the six 30-minute episodes co-star James D’Arcy (Guest House Paradiso, Dunkirk) and Nicholas Farrell (Mindhorn, Chariots Of Fire). “The Show is a very personal project, born of the journey I went on writing and performing my Edinburgh show” said Daniels. “I couldn’t have asked for better collaborators than Burn These Words. Untitled World Cup Sitcom – Outnumbered creators Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin are writing a comedy about next year’s World Cup that will apparently feature “little plastic footballers. Describing it as “a fairly mad idea”, Hamilton told fellow comedian Bob Mills on his TalkRADIO show that he and Jenkin are developing a script about the tournament in Qatar, which he likened to Team America, the 2004 satirical film from South Park duo Trey Parker and Matt Stone which used marionette puppets similar to those made famous by Thunderbirds.
