Other voices are provided by Amy Gledhill of The Delightful Sausage (as seen on Harry Hill’s Clubnite and heard on BBC Radio 4) and host of the hit podcast A Lovely Time; and Luke Rollason, from Stepdads (winners of the Brighton OtherPlace Award) and star of the viral smash Channel 4 sketch This Man Believes He Is 7ft Tall (over 20 million views so far). The vicious voice in Byrne’s head keeps pushing her forward, but it may be beyond her limits.” More info and a trailer is here:

Raj – Meera Syal and Jennifer Saunders are to make an audio sitcom set in 19th Century India. “Created by Meera Syal and Mark Evans, Raj! focuses on the useless Henry and his formidable mother who arrive in a remote province of India where Henry is excited to be the region’s new governor, despite having no real idea of how to do so apart from talking English very loudly and slowly to the locals. The Maharajah and his mother the Rajmata have plans in store for this unwelcome British presence, “which will ultimately turn the lives of all involved upside down…” Jennifer Saunders plays The Dowager, with Syal as the Rajmata. Jonny Sweet is Henry, and Amit Shah takes on the role of The Maharajah. Meanwhile Sanjeev Bhaskar voices Imran Afridi, a fearsome warlord and the Rajmata’s ex partner. Audible says: “Raj! explores the amusing clash of cultures and personalities under the rule of the British Crown – including a tiger in a dress, a cave full of opium, and how to cheat at cricket with a bucket of chutney – all brought to life by an incredible cast.” All seven episodes of Raj! are available now to Audible subscribers”.

Taskmaster – A second book is in the works.

With Love – Gloria Calderón Kellett is making a romantic comedy for Amazon. “Amazon has greenlit the one-hour romantic comedy series “With Love.” It follows the Diaz siblings, Lily and Jorge, who are on a mission to find love and purpose. The Diaz siblings cross paths with seemingly unrelated residents during some of the most heightened days of the year –the holidays. The series is planning to begin production in June with plans to launch it at the end of 2021. “I started writing as a way to create characters and stories that represented myself and the community I love,” Calderón Kellett said. “After such a heavy year, there was nothing I wanted more than to see a happy, warm, loving family that looked like mine, celebrating trauma-free and falling in love. So, to be bringing that family to life as my first project with Amazon Studios feels especially personal and is incredibly exciting. I cannot wait to share ‘With Love’ this holiday season!”.

Yesterday, Today & The Day Before – After only one episode hosts Sophie Duker, Kemah Bob and production assistant Saima Ferdows have quit Comedy Central’s new show, and further info on why is here:
