Solar Opposites – The second season is soon to debut “In a press release, Hulu didn’t divulge much of what to expect other than to promise season two will be “bigger, funnier, and more opposite than ever before””, and a trailer for the second season can be found here: https://io9.gizmodo.com/solar-opposites-season-2-trailer-reminds-us-why-we-love-1846349244

South Park – We’re getting another hour long special on March 10th, with the synopsis being: “The citizens of South ParQ are clamouring for the COVID-19 vaccine. A hilarious new militant group tries to stop the boys from getting their teacher vaccinated.” https://www.slashfilm.com/south-park-vaccination-special-coming-in-march/

Timestalker – Alice Lowe’s next film sounds like it should be another fantastic affair – “Timestalker is an epic story a woman’s unrequited love spanning centuries, from 1680s Western Scotland through 1790s rural England, 1980s Manhattan and the apocalyptic future. Lowe – whose acting credits include Garth Marenghi’s Dark Place and the comedy-thriller Sightseers – will also be starring. In each time period. her character falls for the wrong guy, dies a grim death then gets reincarnated a century to start the cycle anew. Lowe said: ‘It’s so exciting to be working on a grander scale on Timestalker – but with the same crafting of script and comedy improv and brilliant actors. ‘This film is my homage to the most romantic epics. Lavish, lush and overflowing with emotion! ‘This film is going to be shameless. All blusher and petticoats and suicidal lovers. The romantic era we all need a pinch of right now! Romance isn’t dead Also joining the cast are Sam Riley, recently seen as Pierre Curie in the biopic Radioactive, and Jacob Anderson, who played Grey Worm in Game Of Thrones.”

Twisted Metal – A tv series based on the Playstation game is in the works. “The series is coming from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the duo behind the Zombieland and Deadpool movies, and it’s going to be an original story inspired by the games rather than a direct adaptation of the bananas-ass plot of the original series (there’s a guy named Calypso who makes people get into car battles, and whoever wins gets their greatest wish granted in a mean, unfair way). Apparently, this TV show will be about a “motor-mouthed outsider” and “trigger-happy car thief” who have “a chance at a better life” if they can deliver some kind of package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Along the way, they’ll run into “savage marauders” like Sweet Tooth, the aforementioned murder clown, and probably a guy who stands in between big wheels, a Grim Reaper biker, a cop, and some kind of spooky demon in a semi-truck.” https://games.avclub.com/deadpool-writers-developing-twisted-metal-tv-series-1846331543

Zen School of Motoring – This new BBC series “involves battle-rapper Ogmios quietly commentating on what he sees as he drives around North London in his Fiat Panda. Ogmios, whose real name is Ivan Battaliero-Owen, previously made three episodes for YouTube, which have found fans including Alexei Sayle.” https://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2021/02/23/47892/bbc_orders_an_asmr_comedy

Ziwe – This new sketch show will begin on Showtime on May 9th at 11pm. “The new variety series, starring and executive produced by the titular comedian Ziwe, runs six episodes and features interviews, musical numbers, guest stars and sketches. It is produced by A24 and executive produced by Jamund Washington and Hunter Speese.” https://variety.com/2021/tv/news/netflix-announces-jupiters-legacy-premiere-tv-news-roundup-1234913598/
