A.P. Bio – Has been renewed for a fourth season, with it now airing on the Peacock streaming service.

Bo & Cheyenne – Superstore is coming to an end next year but there might be a spin-off “which would see Johnny Pemberton and Nichole Sakura reprise their roles from the mothership series. In the new show, Bo and Cheyenne balance their big dreams with the harsh realities of being a blue-collar family in America.”

Bren Rents – A US remake of Stath Lets Flats is in the works – “Deadline reports the new version is being overseen by stand-up comedian, actor and writer Joe Mande. His previous TV projects include working as a writer and producer on The Good Place, playing Morris Lerpiss in Parks And Recreation, and writing episodes of Modern Family, in which he also appeared as the character Ben. The Channel 4 sitcom, which launched in 2013 as a Comedy Blap pilot, won three Baftas this year, including best scripted comedy and best writer and male performance for its star and creator Jamie Demetriou.”

Bridge And Tunnel – A trailer for this new comedy drama is now online, and premieres January 24 at 9 PM ET/PT on Epix.

Dating No Filter – Is a new dating show with a comic twist, based on a US version of the show – “The programme sees comedians setting up people on dates and then commenting on the results. The eight-part series is based on a hit show broadcast on the E! network in America. Sky explains: “Dating No Filter is a fresh and hilariously honest take on modern dating. The UK version will see a group of singletons sent on blind dates, set up by quick-witted comedians. The comics will be given some control over a diverse range of matches and will then watch and weigh in on the dates, giving hysterically unfiltered commentary on every awkward interaction and heart-warming moment. But what they are really rooting for is for love to conquer all!”.

Dickinson – The second series now has a trailer online –

Disenchantment – A trailer for the next batch of episodes is here:

The Flight Attendant – Though it’s yet to be confirmed the showrunner has spoken about what a potential second season would look like –

Full Frontal With Samantha Bee – Has been given a sixth season by TBS.

Guilty Party – Kate Beckinsale has replaced Isla Fisher as the lead in this new dark comedy “after previous headliner Isla Fisher was forced to step away due to COVID-19 circumstances, Variety has confirmed. The half-hour series revolves around Beth Baker (Beckinsale), a discredited journalist desperate to salvage her career by latching on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn’t commit. In trying to uncover the truth, Beth finds herself in over her head as she contends with Colorado gun-smugglers, clickbait culture, the doldrums of marriage and her own tarnished past.”

Irma Vep – A tv series is being made based on this not actually that good French film – “Alicia Vikander is teaming with French indie director Olivier Assayas for an HBO show. Assayas will write and direct the project which revolves around Mira (Vikander), an American movie star disillusioned by her career and a recent breakup, who comes to France to star as “Irma Vep” in a remake of the French silent film classic, “Les Vampires.” Set against the backdrop of a lurid crime thriller, Mira struggles as the distinctions between herself and the character she plays begin to blur and merge.”

Man Vs Bee – Rowan Atkinson is to make a new series, with ten ten minute episodes commissioned.

Mrs Brown’s Boys – The BBC are to make new episodes right through until 2026.

Night Court – A sequel series is in the works, though without the original lead character due to the actor dying, with the AV Club commenting that it will star “Melissa Rauch as the daughter of Harry Stone (played by the late Harry Anderson) and original cast member John Larroquette, reprising his role as a wildly inappropriate, sex-obsessed narcissist and lawyer (a character that will surely thrive in 2020). Deadline reports that Rauch will executive produce the new Night Court alongside writer Dan Rubin (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), with the sequel centering on “unapologetic optimist judge Abby Stone, daughter of the late Harry Stone, who follows in her father’s footsteps as she presides over the night shift of a Manhattan arraignment court and tries to bring order to its crew of oddballs and cynics, most notably former night court prosecutor Dan Fielding.”

The Offenders – Christopher Walken has been cast in the lead role of Stephen Merchant’s Comedy Drama. “Merchant himself, Green Wing’s Darren Boyd and Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson also star in the in the six-part series, which revolves around seven strangers doing court-ordered community service, and which also stars Rhianne Barreto, Gamba Cole and Clare Perkins. Filming on the co-production with Amazon, was halted after only a few days because of the coronavirus pandemic, and before Walken could travel from America. Set in Merchant’s native Bristol, The Offenders has been described as a “crime thriller-meets-state-of-the-nation commentary”, with the plot involving the group taking on one of the city’s most dangerous criminal gangs. The series follows seven strangers, The Offenders, from different walks of life forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence in Bristol. As they become involved in each other’s lives, they also become involved with a dangerous criminal gang.”

Peacemaker – More cast members have been added to this Suicide Squad spin-off –

RIP – Jane The Virgin writer Katie Wech is working on this dark comedy – “The project tells the story of an aging widow in Florida whose children move her into assisted living for fear she is a danger to herself, only to realize later on, just how dangerous she is.”

The Russell Howard Hour – There’s more bad new for British comedy as this is to return for two more series.

Search Party – A trailer for it’s fourth season which debuts on January 14th 2021 is here:

The Sex Lives Of College Girls – Mindy Kaling’s HBO Max series has found another one of its leads characters as “Dylan Sprouse is returning to TV. The former Disney Channel star has signed on for Mindy Kaling’s HBO Max series “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” Variety has learned exclusively, marking his first big television role since his Disney days ended in 2011. He joins previously announced leads Pauline Chalamet, Amrit Kaur, Reneé Rapp and Alyah Chanelle Scott in the series which revolves around four roommates at Essex College, a prestigious New England university. Sprouse will play a character named Nico, a junior at Essex who interacts with the four roommates in question, who are Kimberly (Chalamet), the valedictorian of a working-class public high school in a humble Arizona suburb, Bela (Kaur), a comedy-obsessed, super confident cornball from the affluent suburbs of northern New Jersey, Leighton (Rapp), who would describe herself as a normal, classy girl from a great family, and finally Whitney (Scott), the soon-to-be star of the Essex soccer team.”

Taskmaster – The line up for series 11 has been revealed, with Charlotte Ritchie, Jamali Maddix, Lee Mack, Mike Wozniak and Sarah Kendall set to appear, it’s a strong line up and I’m extremely fond of everyone in it. A second Champion Of Champions series has been announced too, with the PR blurb revealing “Not content with simply putting a fresh bunch of hopefuls through their paces, 2021 will also see the uncompromising Taskmaster uphold tradition and invite the winners of series six to ten to a brand-new Champion of Champions tournament. Having recently been crowned victor of series 10, Richard Herring and fellow champs Liza Tarbuck, Kerry Godliman, Lou Sanders, and Ed Gamble will all have the opportunity to battle it out once more. As ever, Greg Davies will be perched on his regal throne as the Taskmaster, while the doting Little Alex Horne scuttles about his master’s feet generating stats, measurements, and generally irritating his keeper, as these task titans compete in the ultimate quest for victory.”
